I have loved programming since I was a little boy learning BASIC with my Grandmother on an Atari system. I got involved in computer security when I went to university, and learned the joy of reverse engineering malware while I worked on cybercrime investigations as a Computer Scientist for the FBI. Now as a professional threat hunter in private industry, I help companies defend their networks and I enjoy sharing knowledge by teaching classes on detection engineering, reverse engineering malware, and building security research labs.

When I was in Paris in September, Sylvain Hajri was such a gracious host, showing me and my friends the best food and places to visit – it made me want to come back to visit Paris again! When I mentioned this workshop, he thought it would be a great fit for Hack in Paris, and I hope that it is!
