Sysdream is particularly committed to the protection of privacy and undertakes to process personal data concerning users (hereinafter referred to as “the User”) of this site (hereinafter referred to as “the Site”) in compliance with French and European legislation and regulations, in particular the French Data Protection Act[1] and the General Data Protection Regulation[2] (GDPR) (hereinafter referred to as the “Applicable Regulations”).

For the understanding of the following stipulations, the terms “Personal Data” or “Personal Data”, “Sensitive Data”, “Processing”, “Data Controller”, “Transfer”, “Data Subject”, “Legal basis”, “Data Protection Officer” and “Purpose” shall have the meaning defined by the Applicable Regulations. 

The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to inform the User of the manner in which their Personal Data is processed in the context of the use of the Site.

Sysdream reserves the right to modify this policy at any time, in whole or in part, in particular to adapt to the technological, regulatory or legal environment. Thus, the User is invited to consult this policy regularly in order to remain informed of any updates to it.

This Privacy Policy is available in English and French. In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between these two versions, the terms of the French version shall prevail.

1.       Identity of the Data Controller

The Personal Data Processing implemented as part of the Site,   of the Site is operated by Sysdream, a simplified joint stock company, whose registered office is located at 14 Place Marie-Jeanne Bassot – 92300 LEVALLOIS-PERRET, registered in the Nanterre Trade and Companies Register under number 451 676 126, in its capacity as Data Processor.

The contact details of its Data Protection Officer are stipulated in Article 9 “Exercising the rights of the Persons concerned”.

2.       Description of the Processing of Personal Data: Personal Data Processed, Purposes and Legal Bases

As part of the Site,  Hub One processes Personal Data concerning the User for the following Purposes:

 

a)      Subscription to the Hack in Paris newsletter

The Processing of Personal Data described below is implemented by Sysdream in order to subscribe the User to the Hack in Paris newsletter.

b)      Customer relationship management and order tracking

The Processing of Personal Data described below is implemented by Sysdream in order to manage the customer relationship and to ensure the follow-up of orders within the framework of Hack in Paris.

c)      Billing management

The Processing of Personal Data described below is implemented by Sysdream in order to manage invoicing (Customers via their company and Individual Customers).

d)      Verification of the client’s status

The Processing of Personal Data described below is implemented by Sysdream in order to verify the status of the customer and to ensure that he/she is actually benefiting from the discounted rate he/she has selected for the Hack in Paris event.

The Processing of Personal Data described below is implemented by Sysdream in order to carry out commercial prospecting.

f)      Carry out statistics and analysis

The Processing of Personal Data described below is implemented by Sysdream in order to allow it to generate statistics on the Hack in Paris event website.

The Processing of Personal Data described below is implemented by Sysdream in order to manage the setting up of the catering during the event.

h)      Training management

The Processing of Personal Data described below is implemented by Sysdream to:

– Ensuring the attendance of the participants to the training ;

– Sending the technical requirements of the training and answering the participants’ questions ;

– Have the participants fill out the satisfaction survey ;

– Hand the training certificate to the participants.

3.       Cookies

Sysdream uses cookies and similar technologies to power, protect and improve the Site.

Some cookies may be deposited on the Site by third parties and are not used by Sysdream. Their use is subject to the personal data use charters of the partners in question and not to this Charter. The list of partners who can store and/or access these cookies is available on the Cookie Management Policy page.

You can also configure your browser to be informed when Cookies are deposited on your terminal or to deactivate this deposit of Cookies by consulting the “Help” menu of your browser. 4.       Commitments of the User

When the User provides Personal Data to Sysdream, he/she undertakes to provide only accurate, sincere and up-to-date information about his/her situation, as well as his/her true identity.

In the context of the forms to be completed, when Personal Data are identified as mandatory (in particular with “*”), the User must provide them, otherwise he/she will not be able to benefit from the proposed service.

Sysdream does not process sensitive Data[1] through the Site. By voluntarily providing Sysdream with such data without being requested (e.g. via the free comment fields), the User acknowledges that this information will be deleted as soon as possible by the Data Controller as soon as the latter becomes aware of its sensitive nature within the meaning of the GDPR. 

5.       Recipient(s) of Personal Data

The recipients of the Personal Data in the context of the use of the Site are:

–          Services involved in the organization of the Event ;

–          Service provider providing the secure online payment platform ;

–          Service provider providing the newsletters ;

–          The ultimate sponsors and diamonds of the event available on the Sponsors page: only for the purpose 2.e.

–          Provider providing the training: only for the purpose h.

Sysdream undertakes to implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure the confidentiality and security of the Personal Data processed and ensures that its employees (and service providers, if any) involved in the Processing of Personal Data, respect these measures.

As some of these recipients are located outside the European Economic Area (EEA), the User is invited to refer to Article 8 “Transfer of personal data” below in order to be informed of the terms of these Transfers.

 

6.       Fate of Personal Data

Personal Data is kept for the periods stipulated in article 2 “Description of the Processing of Personal Data: Personal Data Processed, Purposes and Legal Bases” or until the User’s request to withdraw consent or to object to the processing is made to Hub One’s Data Protection Officer at the address stipulated in article 9 “Exercising the rights of the Persons concerned” below.

 

7.       Safeguards in place for the protection of Personal Data

Sysdream ensures the confidentiality and security of the User’s Personal Data by implementing appropriate technical and organizational measures in accordance with the applicable Regulations.

The protection measures are firewalls, physical and logical access controls to Personal Data and authorization controls to access information.

 

8.       Transfer of Personal Data

In the context of the Site and in compliance with the applicable Regulations, Sysdream transfers Personal Data to organizations located outside the EEA.

9.       Exercise of the rights of the Persons concerned

As a Data Subject, the User has specific rights (right of access, right to portability, right to withdraw consent, right to limitation, right to opposition (for legitimate reasons), right to erasure, right to rectification). The User may also give post-mortem instructions on the Processing of Personal Data concerning him/her.

In the event of failure to exercise the aforementioned rights, the User may make use of his or her right to lodge a complaint with the National Commission for Data Protection  (CNIL).
